Eric Stonestreet pridružio se drugoj sezoni Disney+ 'The Santa Clauses'

Eric Stonestreet is set to join the cast of the Disney+ Original series The Santa Clauses. The Modern Family actor will play Magnus Antas aka the Mad Santa.

Stonestreet is set to be an agonist for the second season of the Christmas-based family show as his character reigned in the 14th century and comes back to reclaim the North Pole from Scott Calvin (Tim Allen). The first season was centered on Calvin trying to retire, however, after not finding a worthy successor, Calvin is back as Santa Claus. In season two, Calvin will try to train his son to take over being Santa Claus and make the position a “family business.”

Allen stars and will also executive produce. Other actors returning for season two include Elizabeth Mitchell, Elizabeth Allen-Dick, Austin Kane, Devin Bright and Matilda Lawler. The season will also feature guest stars including Marta Kessler, Liam Kyle, Isabella Bennett, Sasha Knight, Ruby Jay, Mia Lynn Bangunan and Laura San Giacomo.

The series is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios, and is currently in production on its second season. The first season debuted on November 16, 2022 and was in the top 5 most watched original series on Disney+ by hour streamed during its Season’s Streaming campaign from Nov. 3 to Dec. 31.

Disney+ has several shows on the platform based off of nostalgic Disney properties. While many are based on Ratovi zvijezda i čudo characters or stories, their Nacionalno blago serije, The Mighty Ducks Game Changers, Ice Age Scrat Tales, Čudovišta na djelu i Djeda Mrazovi show that other Disney properties can also can receive the show treatment.
